Washington Depot by Denyse Schmidt
for FreeSpirit Fabric
The newest collection by Denyse schmidt for FreeSpirit Fabrics has arrived in stores. The Washington Depot collection is "inspired by an elegant, historic New England village that feels as though time has stopped. Friendly and warm, neat as a pin and picture-perfect, every street and garden view evokes a nostalgic sweetness of unspoiled beauty and simple pleasures, along with a sense of uninterrupted time in which to enjoy them."
Versatile, small and medium-scale geometric prints, florals with a decidedly current color sensibility and modern stripes, are just right for any project you have in mind including a modern scrap quilt, a back-to-school wardrobe, or that perfect vintage-style dress.
The collections consists of 23 fabrics; 8 designs each available in up to three different color stories (Wild Rose, Linoleum and Teal). How wonderful are those stripes! I can't wait to use the stripe print for quilt binding.
