Neptune and the Mermaid by Tokyo Milk (Margot Elana) has just arrived in stores and although this collection is outside of my fabrc stash comfort zone, I could not resist! The fabrics feature designs from small scale to very large scale (23" inch pattern repeats). The large scale designs are so intricately detailed that that you need to look to look twice to see all that there is to see.
The Neptune and the Mermaid collection takes you on a journey under the sea, where everything is not as it seems; where mermaids float with guardian goldfish, octopodes swim in an ocean of rose bouquets and vintage divers plunge into the depths of the ocean through floral rings.
The collection consists of 26 fabrics ~ 10 unique designs each released in up to three different colorways. In addition to the detailed large scale prints are a number of small scale basics to mix and match (see last image). These truly are an explosion of color! And my goodness, the opportunity for fussy cutting is endless!
