Rotary Club by Kim Kight
for Cotton + Steel
Continuing on with the release of Cotton + Steel's Spring 2016 collections this week's Sunday Stash collection is Rotary Club by Kim Kight. Kim has been collecting and working with vintage textiles for more than a decade and this collection is inspired by a love for vintage communication technologies ~ rotary phones, record players, manual typewriters and cathode ray tv's.
The collection includes several complementary basic prints, like the medium scale circle design (called Ring Rings) printed on both quilting cotton and rayon, as well as a quirky design featuring small scale vegetable and floral motifs that typically may have been seen on kitchen crockery during the 1950's.
Also just about to arrive in stores is Cotton + Steel's first woven collection called Checkers. Checkers is a range of bright and colorful gingham fabrics designed to mix and match with all Cotton + Steel prints and basics, old and new.

I love gingham and include snippets of gingham in my quilts regularly, so I was pleased to add this classic design to my fabric stash.
