Far Far Away by Heather Ross for Windham Fabrics |
Far Far Away is Heather's second collection for Windham fabrics, and as a quilter I am rather excited that it is a quilting cotton collection. This collection is a reprint of the incredibly popular and highly sought after line of fairy tale inspired fabrics which was originally released on a double gauze fabric base (and featured in my
Sunday Stash #6 blog post way back in August 2009 - things have come a long way since then, including my photography skills).
|
Far Far Away - Frogs |
... inspired by tiny princesses everywhere who stay up past their bedtimes,
love unicorns and anything pink,
and send all of their important royal messages and decrees by snail mail ...
|
Far Far Away - Snails |
|
Far Far Away - Meadow Flowers |
The collection consists of five different designs and a total of 16 prints. The colors are slightly different from the original collection, but they are perfectly balanced - soft shades of pink and blue contrasted with darker tones of purples and orange, but not over saturated. The quality of the base fabric is fine and has a lovely soft hand. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Far Far Away - Unicorns |
I have no doubt this Princess will continue to be a favorite ...

Far Far Away - Princess and the Pea |
Far Far Away by Heather Ross is due to arrive in stores in July 2014.
Enjoy Sunday!

These really are lovely fabrics. I'm new to quilting so didn't see these fabrics first time around. I'm really glad they are being re-issued. Emmajane
