Country Girls by Tasha Noel for Riley Blake Designs |
Tasha Noel is one of my favorite new(ish) fabric designers and both of Tasha's previous collections (The Simple Life and Little Red Riding Hood) are part of my "go to" fabrics stash ~ that is to say I use these fabrics often and readily fit into almost all of my quilt projects.
The Country Girls range is in the same style as we have come to expect from Tasha with adorable hand drawn designs and a great range of coordinating fabric basics in green, blue, red, and pink color palettes.

Country Girls - Patchwork by Tasha Noel |
I am rather taken by the traditional color palettes of this collection - the red, white, pink and aqua - and love the addition of the cheerful dark blue and green fabrics - not unlike the darker colors of Hello Petal by Aneela Hoey and April Showers by Bonnie and Camille. These darker colors represent new direction for my fabric stash and I am looking forward to working with stronger color contrasts.

The bird print is really sweet! I've actually thought of the patchwork print a few times; it would make a great backing.
