i love those Amy Butler fabrics. they are the same as i used in A Brighter Life ( if you want to pop by my blog to see the story ).Can't wait to see your next step :-)
I agree with you on the selvages! I've been wanting to make a string quilt with selvages and most of my are too narrow for standard piecing. Live and learn!
Gorgeous! Love the fabric, love the pattern, love your blog. It's the first one I hit every day..you are so insprirational. Thanks for sharing with us!
I always cut into the pattern alongside the selvedge too..up to 2 inches sometimes..they make great 'hearts' and cushion covers and sew together more easily if you leave more pattern.
Hello Rita ! Your work always inspires me! So wish I could stay home and play with fabric all day! The selevages ... I collect them from anyone who will give them up and mostly they only give me the very edge of the selvage! I when cutting mine allow two inches it is never missed! I try to tell others but they are not believer!! I hope you have a lovely day! Always wonderful to hear from you!!! Tammie
Can't wait to see the finished product! Great idea to cut the selvage a little wider. I'm going to have to start doing that.
