FABRIC STASH BASICS ~ those fabric staples that make up a significant portion of a fabric stash. Stash basics vary from sewer/quilter to quilter but for me that usually means dots, stripes, checks, solids, and more recently chevrons. It just so happens that it has been a week of basics stashing.

I generally like to purchase half yards when stashing basics although if I feel that a particular fabric would also make a good binding fabric - like Lecien Color Basics Black/White Stripe - I will purchase additional yardage.
Happy Stashing!

ReplyDeleteYummiest fabrics combo!1
ReplyDeleteGorgeous basics!
ReplyDeleteLove the spots!! I am not a stripes or chevron person, but give me some grunge-type fabric and I am in basics heaven!
ReplyDeleteThese are all great basics. I seem to have a room full of dots and stripes, and it makes me happy just to look at them. Of course, actually using them is even better!
ReplyDeleteI could totally do with some basics...I'll have to start saving like a crazed lunatic! =D
ReplyDeleteThank you for the advice and gorgeous fabric ideas. i've been spying the stripes at Sew Modern (love that place) and will now load up my stash.

ReplyDeleteI like to use antique fabrics and reproductions and use lots of ticking and shirting fabrics and when I find what I like I will buy yards and yards!
