Dear Fabic Stash,
I have been cheating on you, ignoring you even.
Yep, it's the call of the yarn and the knitting needles.

The Pattern:
The Yarn:
Madelinetosh Merino Light in Gilded
Truly, this impressive shawl is a quick and easy knit; one I can recommend for beginner lace knitters. I followed the pattern verbatim and worried endlessly about running out of yarn (weighing and calculating often) without need.
Back to fabric and quilty programming for now.
Stunning, especially in that color way! Congrats on your finish. I bet your fabrics will forgive you. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery striking!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shawl Rita!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! I bet it's really delightful in the MadTosh yarn. :D

ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! I must confess I've been cheating on my fabric with crochet. I just finished 2 shawls and I'm working on 2 others.

ReplyDeleteI'm also knitting a shawl. Yours is beautiful! I love knitting lace. Too bad it takes us away from our fabric and quilting! Just not enough hours in the day!
ReplyDeleteHope you posted this in MadMay2012 in ravelry group. I think it is a kick that even knitting can work in a friendly & motivating competition. Love the pattern & Madelinetosh. Nice drape too!
