Bring on the Winter school holidays! Two weeks of allowing the day to unfold without plan or routine, and plenty of opportunity to squeeze in sewing time.
I have started the week by tipping over my scrap bin in an attempt to salvage the many much loved bits of fabric. I usually enjoy rummaging through my scrap bin although lately it had been overflowing and I was starting to avoid having to deal with the mess that it was becoming.
And so the timing is perfect time for a quilt made just from my fabric scraps. As often seen here (at RPQ) I have contrasted the scraps with some Kona Cotton (White).
I have almost finished all of the required blocks/units and look forward to showing you more of the layout soon.
I hope you've enjoyed a great start to your week also!

if you ever want to sell your scraps Rita, I'm your girl ;o) Looking forward to another delicious piece of eye candy from that yummy looking pile!
ReplyDeleteWoW, you sure have some wonderful "scraps". Looks like a treasure to me. Enjoy.

You seem to have a pretty well balanced stash of scraps - can't wait to see what that rainbow pile becomes!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying Independence Day here in Utah, USA. Hot, but cloudy. Parade, booths at the park, sweet summer rain in the evening and fireworks. I cannot imagine winter in July. hee hee
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful summer colors. What a nice scrap bin. Can't wait to see what you do with them.

Winter would be wonderful right now. Here in Texas it's 100+ degrees and so very miserable.
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to hear from people around the world, hard to imagine winter right now. Like the ladies from the US said above, it is Independence Day, lots of firecrackers and it is soooo hot, even here in South Dakota. I could go for a day of snow right now!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you add lots of white...you've inspired me :)
ReplyDeleteOoo, it looks interesting. Can't wait to see what you are up to!
ReplyDeleteYou would have THE most co-ordinated and pretty scrap bucket around! No murky greens or browns there! ANother fun quilt in the making!
ReplyDeleteoh Rita, Rita ... your scraps make my scraps look like scraps.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see .... (I'm still recovering from the wondrous crosshatch HTS quilt, ya know .... )
I second Sarah's comment - if I had scraps like that I would be in heaven. You could always 'sell' your scraps when you have to many - I know I would buy some.
ReplyDeleteYour stash busters are always my favourites!!

ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve!
ReplyDeleteI love your photography nearly as much as your quilting!
ReplyDeleteThose are some wonderful scraps! What a rainbow! Not like my scraps at all! It's so funny to think of winter in July. Today isn't too bad - its 88F with fairly low humidity, but we had our Independence Day holiday this week, and as usual, it was hot and humid! I'd love a bit of snow right now!
ReplyDeleteLooks like patches for a zig zag quilt! I have similar loooking pile that I made from my scrap bins and Kona snow.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the most beautiful fabric!!
ReplyDeleteI love the crisp white in your quilts!! Lovely.

cool quilt but what really caught my eye was your opening line- bring on the winter school holidays. You're in winter- we're in over 100 degree days and DESperate for rain ! Maybe if I play some mind games I can "chill" by thinking I'm in Australia! Thanks for all you do!
