After quite some procrastinating the quilt that I started working on earlier this week has been pin basted and quilting has commenced.
For the mathematically inclined, a quick calculation indicates approximately 125 yards of quilting will be undertaken; right now it seems much more than that. Slowly and steady ...
... and plenty of quilt wrangling still to go.
Rita
Love the gentle colours in this one!

ReplyDeleteIt's going to be one beautiful quilt... good luck with all the fabric wrangling!
ReplyDeleteRita it's so true, actual quilting is more like fabric wrangling! You need some serious control!
ReplyDeletehow lovely!

ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed!!
ReplyDelete(am about to do a machine quilting course at Amitie next month so it will hopefully all make more sense as opposed to my current make it up as you go along method.)
You know, I've been wondering if and when a longarm machine might find it's way into your life? It would sure save time - no pin basting required!!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Rita - don't listen to your family - it's not grandmotherly!
ReplyDeleteA lovely summer-style, airy-feeling work of art !~!
