Does this happen to you? You see pretty fabrics that you REALLY like (perhaps at Purlsoho in New York), you decide against buying them, and then all you can do is think how much you really like them? That perhaps you should have bought them whilst you were right there? And you've already planned out all the quilts you can make with them?
And then, before you know it you've hit the CHECKOUT NOW button on your cart and shouted yourself an early birthday present because it's coming up soon, right?
That's what happened here. No regrets, these Liberty of London Prints are just beautiful!
Enjoy Sunday!
Rita
Yes, they are beautiful, cheerful and necessary for your stash. Happy Upcoming Birthday.
ReplyDeleteEveryone loves Liberty prints! Seeing so much of it in blog land at the moment is making me want to skip up to London and spend a load of cash in the store...
ReplyDeleteI do that all the time after visits to The Fabric Shack. :) Those are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! Happy birthday to you, whenever that is - yesterday or next winter. Ha ha ha! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteHappy day! A funny story. My father in law bought my motet in law the set for Christmas. By mistake, Purl sent their regular color wheel bundle. He of course had no idea, luckily my sister saw it, told him the problem, and they worked it out. But I can imagine what would have happened. Dad so happy to give mom her favorite fabrics ever, mom perplexed because they had bought the regular color wheel pack and made quilts a few years ago...

ReplyDeleteRita I'm just a tad jealous! My finances wouldn't stretch to the cost of a bundle of liberty just yet but when it does I'll be heading to Liberty of London to fondle 1st hand their delights!!!

Wow. BIG birthday present! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed very beautiful. Once I sewed with them, I didn't think I'd ever be able to go back to regular cotton. Sigh... Happy birthday for whenever it is!
ReplyDeleteA Liberty purchase is never regrettable!!! It sure makes birthdays worth adding that extra year to the tally!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday and sewing with those gorgeous fabrics.
Christine xo
you are one step ahead of me! i've had my eye on these at Purl doing the same back and forth for a month! now i'm just going to have to buy them!
ReplyDeleteAre you joking??? I dream of fabric ALL the time...usually my frugal brain does not let me dream of Liberty of London, though! Good for you! Don't you wish Birthdays came around twice a year?!
ReplyDeleteYou're making it really hard to stay on my fabric diet - haha! Love your photos - they're the best!
ReplyDeleteI do that all the time!!! That's why I'm not allowed to buy fabric at all in 2011. There are exceptions of course, like if I'm traveling or at a quilting conference. I love those LIberty of London fabrics too!!!
ReplyDeleteNo regrets at all, those are beautiful fabrics! Happy quilting!
ReplyDelete..How uncanny, just popped into your blog after trawling the internet for fabric I could have bought on the weekend in a shop I never get to because it's on the other side of town...now all I can think about is how I can get my hands on it. Of course now there will probably be shipping involved..which kind of makes the decision at the time to 'not spend the money' a silly one. Well you just reminded me, I think my birthday might just be close enough(5 weeks) to justify such a 'for me' purchase. Can't thank you enough!!
ReplyDeletecheers
Oh man I had these in my hand up in Purl a few weeks ago! I thought about it and thought about it and then I walked out empty handed! I went down the street to get some hot chocolate which made me feel a little better, but I *still* kick myself for not purchasing them!
