Hello Betty (Retro) by Chloe's Closet for Moda
"This really is pretty collection - don't let it pass you by - you should get some of that now - in your cart and press "buy" - you'll want some of that in six months time - when it is hard to get - all gone - and then you'll spend way too much time searching the net - and then it becomes a challenge and an obsession!" Aargh ...
... but I did find a layer cake and I have picked a favorite (above), it's grey - no surprises there.
Great collection -- I think that gray might be my favorite, too
ReplyDeleteLove that grey too!
ReplyDeleteYou'll turn those pretties into something divine, I'm sure!!
ReplyDeleteI have a layer cake and a charm pack, no real yardage though because I couldn't pick a favorite.
ReplyDeleteoh, hello Betty...i love it. i have a layer cake that i have been hanging onto. and recently bought a honey bun of the pastel colorway.
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty-how did it escape me before?
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your Sunday stash reports. But they make me realize how far behind in time we are in Hawaii-it is still Sat afternoon here!
I am glad I am not the only one that thinks like that. The only problem is I buy it much quicker than I can use it.
ReplyDeleteArg I can't get any more fabric for another month! Haha yes I have a limit for myself!
ReplyDeleteBTW that gray pick is awesome - it's whimsical and sophisticated at the same time. Great pick!
I have two charm packs of this and I am making octagons with it. I am not sure how they will end ultimately but the octagons are fun. The gray is my favorite too. I think.... I also love the browns.....
ReplyDeleteI love this collection of prints. I managed to get a few jelly rolls and layer cakes and now they are waiting for me to get some time to work on it!
ReplyDeleteYes the grey is lovely. Looking forward to see what you make with it?
ReplyDeleteSounds familiar - as a new sewer, I missed out on some fabric (e.g. Flea Market Fancy) and have been struggling to get a hold of Momo's Wonderland and Lizzy House's Red Letter Day. With some pretty good success. Luckily got 2 charm packs and a jelly roll of Wonderland because I absolutely had to own at least a scrap of each print!
ReplyDeleteI hear you! I know that story! It's so hard to keep a balance between getting the good stuff when you see it, and cutting back on the stash building. The gray is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI did a flying goose quilt with these fabrics and the Grey is my favorite too..alas...I can find NO more!
ReplyDeleteOh you are are so right...much easier to recognize the want earlier!
ReplyDeleteSo very true! That's my story with the Arcadia fabric. ::tears::
ReplyDeleteYes, I have spent WAY too much time trying to locate fabric that I fall in love with....but only after it is really hard to find.
ReplyDeleteI found several Hello Betty prints at one of my local quilt stores. Unfortunately, they didn't have the print I was looking for. :(
ReplyDeleteQuilt fabrics need to stay around longer imo! lol.
I always decide I like a fabric when it is almost or out of stock. I love the colours and prints of Retro Betty, but alas too late.
ReplyDeleteGet out of my head! I have that same conversation. But I do LOVE the Retro Hello Betty. Not the other colorway. Ick. But the retro? Yum!
ReplyDeleteAck, I am in the same boat! I have two honey buns of this line but was not thinking about binding at the time of purchase... and I've become a real stickler for matching binding. So now I am trolling the internet for a bit of Hello Betty on the bolt! Good luck on your yardage hunt!
ReplyDeleteI love that collection! Unfortunately mine still sits on my shelf, because I can't decide what it wants to be for sure. I do love looking at my pretty stack though!
ReplyDeleteFunny how this post comes up in a search-I'm currently trying to find a layer cake, charms, yardage, *something* to go with my impulse buy jelly roll from 2 years ago. Alas, I wish I had enough money to have bought two at the time-I love this line, so want whatever comes out of it to be perfect :)
