The scrappy patchwork blocks that I have been working on this week have been pieced together. I have proceeded with a really simple layout, which is all these blocks really need.
I was keen to show you my progress today but the Melbourne weather is not helping as a dark, gloomy and (very welcome) rainy morning means taking pictures is a chore.
I do wish you could have seen me outside with my camera this morning, together with the umbrella! (I wonder what the neighbors were thinking). I hope you think it was a worthwhile expedition.

The Modern Quilt Workshop
by Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr
This book is an excellent resource with patterns for modern and funky quilts. It has a clear instructions for efficient strip piecing as well as various block and quilt sizes, and several color options.
My quilt is similar but not the same. I don't proclaim originality, just fresh and modern versions of quilts using bright, modern and quality fabrics and simple designs.
