It is not often that I do "pretty", but I have enjoyed piecing this baby quilt top from the thrifted floral pillowcase that I purchased earlier in the week.
The pastel pink dot fabric is by Kaffe Fassett.
I am quilting it today. It feels as light as a feather after my last quilting episode!
I just wanted to sew something quick and easy after last week's Block Party effort. The search is also on for more vintage linens!

It looks lovely Rita and I am not surprised that you wanted some 'easy' sewing after last week! Better get back to the packing. See you soon!
ReplyDeletewhat is the plan for how to quilt it?
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. No denying the lovely simplicity of little squares!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous baby quilt - and the thrifted fbric really shines! I have recently been drawn to the vintage pillowcases in op shops but don't know what to do with them so your baby quilt is quite inspiring!
ReplyDeleteYou are fast!! We just watched a few episodes of the first season of the Mary Tyler Moore show (from the 70's) and she had sheets on her bed very much like your pillowcases. I notice things like that now. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I like that you've only used to fabrics, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring.
Really gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIts easy to forget how fabulous a quilt can look with only 2 fabrics.
I get so carried away with putting together a million different fabrics.
Lovely combination...thought that myself how will you Quilt it...
ReplyDeletecheers

I really like this! I have a small collection of pillowcases that I want to work with and the addition of the polka dots would be perfect! Thanks for the inspiration!
