Hello Petal by Aneela Hoey |
It's here, it's here! Hello Petal by Aneela Hoey is in the house. Despite the unbearable and oppressive heat that was last week, the postie delivered. It was one of the few highlights for the week. Summer you are not my friend.
Hello Petal - Kitty Cats |
I adore Aneela's design style and color palette but particularly love the addition of some of the darker colors - the medium blues which are usually so hard to find - which are part of this collection. Pictured above are the Kitty Cats and although I am not a huge cat lover they are my favorite print. Available in 5 colorways - these are going to be a big hit. And there is more ...
Hello Petal - Hopscotch |
Hello Petal - Jump Rope |
Hello Petal - Handstands |
How cute are these designs? They're fun and girly and do take me right back to my own childhood and that of my children. I imagine these fabrics will make many little - and not so little - girls very happy. And every great collection needs a range of coordinating basics (note again the wonderful medium blues, as well as purple dot on a dark background - they are so good!):

I didn't realize you were in Australia until you mentioned the heat.
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics are all cute, and my little granddaughter would love the cats.
LOVE this collection! I've loved all of Aneela's prior collections, too, but I think this one is my all-time favorite.
ReplyDeleteI only ordered a charm pack. I'm sure that is not going to be enough. BTW, I just finished my first-sewn machine binding using your tutorial. Went better than I expected. I will definitely use it again!
ReplyDeleteP.S. By "better than expected," I meant as a reflection on my skills, not your tutorial. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get some of this. Thank you for the links where we can find it.
ReplyDeleteThese fabrics are all great. My little granddaughter would love the cats and grandma would like the florals. I also wouldn't mind a little of that heat. The cold has been truly numbing and the ice/ snow getting tiresome.
ReplyDeleteI love her fabrics so much! I have some of each, but not this line--yet.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't they be sweet in the economy blocks?
a great collection, can see these flying off the sheoves
ReplyDeleteAneela also has a competition on her blog for anyone who makes something using this fabric range.
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for a new range from Aneela to come out for ages! Disappointing that so few stores seem to be stocking it though :(
ReplyDeleteVery cute fabric and I agree the heat this week fried my brain! Hate it too :)
ReplyDeleteLike you I'm very happy to see some of the darker colours introduced into her palette and adore the kitties with names
ReplyDeleteVery lovely fabric.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Aneela's new line! Her drawings are so sweet and whimsical. I always think I want to make something for my young nieces with her fabrics, but then think--nah--I want them for myself!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteJust love this line. Must buy a fat quarter bundle. So sorry about your very hot horrible summer. As long as your house doesn't burn down as so many have-things are good.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the new line...but the heat cracks me up right now .
ReplyDeleteIn lower Ohio & woke up to 2 in. of snow........lol lol
I agree - those medium, bright blues are hard to find. They caught my eye in your picture!
ReplyDeleteHmm... I wonder if that hot pink kitty print would play nicely with Wee Wander... might have to sneak a little cat for my kitten-addicted daughter into her new quilt : P
ReplyDeleteThanks you so much for this opportunity, if I don't win, I'm going to have to buy this collections, the colors are so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMy Hello Petal arrived yesterday from the great Aussie destash on Instagram! Loving it. Btw, I agree with you about summer. SA is preparing for another weekend of it now.
