Economy Block Quilt II - A Finished Quilt

And a Picture Post.
Economy Block - I Spy Quilt
It's done!  My Economy Block Quilt is finished and right now I don't think I will be making another Economy Block ever, well  for a few months anyway.  Don't get me wrong, I have loved making this quilt especially digging through my fabric stash for all of those feature fabrics as well as the rhythm of the repetitive stitching; it was much like having my own little block factory.

Quilted simply with straight intersecting lines, neither adding nor detracting from the color, the fabrics and the feature fabrics but rather outlining for functionality (that is, to keep the quilt layers together).  For the back of the quilt I have used a single fabric: Typewriter from the Type collection by Julia Rothman.

Lots of pictures - scroll scroll ...

This quilt was listed in my Etsy store but it has already been snapped up. I am grateful and it makes me happy to know that this quilt is going to a great home and will be much loved. It is difficult to part with my quilts but my trade-off is that I get to work from home, and I get to do what I absolutely love doing! Everyday. I wouldn't want it any other way.

  19. I'm not surprised she was snapped up so quickly, she's gorgeous! You've said you have stitched intersecting lines of stitching for quilting, I can see the stitches in the close up but would you mind sharing the size of the stitch please. I'm only just beginning to have the confidence to quilt my own quilts and would like to try that size.
