Sunday Stash #113

Heirloom - Citrine palette by Joel Dewberry for Free Spirit Fabrics:
The Heirloom collection comes in three distinct color palettes:  Citrine, Ruby and Sapphire.  Admittedly I wasn't immediately taken with this recent collection by Joel Dewberry, however when I saw the Citrine colorway fabrics bundled together I absolutely couldn't resist!

The range includes large scale classic florals as well as contemporary motifs to create a timeless style in summary palette.  I've picked a favorite - it's a classic and versatile orange and white print:

Enjoy Sunday!

  3. I love Joel Dewberry. I don't hoard ANY fabric, because I just can't afford to, but I have a nice little stash of Modern Meadow tucked away (and I still buy it on impulse at my LQS!). I'm finishing up a quilt with some Deer Valley and Aviary tonight. Heirloom isn't quite as much my style, but I'd still buy it over so many other lines, and that colorway is so cheerful!

  6. I'm loving the blues in that line! The orange is growing on me too. Especially since a few girls in my stash buster group want orange blocks... not really stash busting if I buy orange BUT maybe some blue will jump in the cart too. I wouldn't want to pick favorites! :)

  9. I have been in love with this fabric in this colourway for a while but just can't justify adding another thread of fabric to my stash and another debit to my budget at the moment. Thanks for letting me swoon and stitch vicariously through you! Can't wait to see what you do with it...

  21. I love Heirloom in citrine! Thank you so much for posting a photo of the fabric I would have never purchased it, because it doesn't look the same to see a picture of it vs the photo. If you know what I mean. :)
