- Choose up to 10 different printed fabrics and 1.25 yards solid fabric.
- Make 84 Flying Geese Units.
- Sew Flying Geese blocks together into six rows of 14 Flying Geese Units.
- Join rows together with a 1 1/2 inch strip (including seam allowances) of solid white fabric
- Add a border to the top and bottom of the quilt if so desired (I have used Marine by Dan Stiles for Birch Fabrics).
The quilt top measures 41 inches x 52 inches.
I am hoping to get started on quilting this quilt over the weekend.

Thank you for the instruction: "Turning the handle does not require force". I find it very difficult to get the die to go into my machine - once in and moving, everything works perfectly. Is it me or the machine - or normal?
ReplyDeleteHi Lynne ~ I didn't have any problems getting the die to go into the machine, although perhaps an extra hand might have been helpful to line it up, turn the handle and keep things steady.
ReplyDeleteI can feel a difference in turning the handle though when more than 1 layer of fabric is on the die. It feels firmer and I wondered if several layers of fabric on the die made for a better cut.

ReplyDeleteSOLD! I just had got a GO! Baby yesterday and love it. They way you showed the flying geese really lessens the waste of fabric and the time of not having to trim when you use squares instead of triangles. After seeing your post I just had to go online and order. Thanks!!!
