Pooches and Pickups

Pooches and Pickups is the brand new fabric line by Laurie Wisbrun for Robert Kaufman and it is made up of 3 different prints: Big Trucks, Small Trucks and Pooches. It comes in two color palettes ~ Spring (blue/green) and Summer (Red and Ochre).

I was rather pleased to receive a complimentary bundle of FQ of the entire collection for me to do with as I wish. And of course, fabric play is what I enjoy doing most:

I've kept it simple and allowed the fabric to the all the work; mixing together the 6 different Pooches and Pickups prints with a number of matching Robert Kaufman Kona Cottons to create a stacked coin quilt.

And for the back of the quilt I have used this fun hippopotamus print from Ikea. Fabric prints suitable for little boys are just getting better and better ~ and these are perfect for a little boy's quilt!

In case you're looking to match the Pooches and Pickups collection with Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton Solids here are some suitable options: Fern (green), Pacific (blue), Corn Yellow, School Bus (orange), Tomato, White, Ash, Pepper (black).
