I do.
Mini Pinwheels (3 inches) with a 1 inch border. These blocks were the start of a mini quilt but they are steadily growing in number to form a baby quilt.
Very easily distracted.
See the following blog post for instructions to draw up your own template to piece this block:

All the time!
ReplyDeleteLike yesterday I was going to make a jelly roll quilt, and ended up making squillions of box bags instead!
I absolutely love these pinwheels! Much better than the pointy triangle ones, in my humble opinion! Can you give a hint on how to make this block? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThese are just wonderful. Love how you cut the fabric with the vine-y block.
ReplyDeleteHi Courtney, I used a template to cut the fabric pieces. A little fussy and time consuming but not really that bad, as you cut 2 inch strips of fabric and then you can flip the template up and down to cut to the correct size fabric pieces. Does that make sense? I might blog the template next week. Thanks for visiting though!

Those are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm distracted all the time! That's why my WIP is so big!! The difference between us is that you actually have something darling to show for it.
ReplyDeleteDistracted is my middle name :-) I think its a requirement if you like to sew/quilt! hehe
ReplyDeletewho doesn't get easily distracted?.. it is usually when i get my best ideas!!
ReplyDeleteI get distracted too. Sometimes I don't mind at all. But other times, like now when I have three quilt tops needing quilting, it bothers me. I am trying hard not to start another quilt project until I finish these! But I do love pinwheels, and these are adorable! They can be so playful and cheery.
ReplyDeleteI am very easily distracted, but my distractions don't end up with such pretty results!
ReplyDeleteI have to put everything else away besides what I am working on or nothing gets done sometimes. Love the little whirly giggles framed.
ReplyDeletethese are lovely....i really love the colorful borders. i think i need to try a few new techniques and patterns and make a few mini quilts

ReplyDeleteThese pinwheels are gorgeous! What a lucky bubba!
ReplyDeleteI do get distracted, but I have really been trying this year to be more focused. I really like how you have framed the pinwheels.
ReplyDeleteToo cute for words.
ReplyDeleteI am currently distracted reading blogs.
Andi :-)
I think being distracted is a good thing. Some of my favorite quilts grew bigger because I was distracted and just kept making blocks.
ReplyDeletehow you could not get distracted by something like this?

ReplyDeleteI love the boarder on the pinwheels. I'll be interested to see them set together. I have a large pinwheel quilt that just needs to be laid out.
Easy to get distracted with SUCH CUTE BLOCKS! All crisp and pretty and fun. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteYes please - do let us know the technique, I desperately need it - I will blog about it hopefully tomorrow - maybe Monday - I have an idea in mind!
